"Amanda was extremely positive & personable to work with during our summer evening session. With both a newborn and a toddler who had not yet adjusted to a tiny sister, I was very nervous our session would be cut short. But Amanda was overly patient (even when my spouse and I were not!) and worked diligently to provide fun moments for my toddler so he would stay interested! She was open to every idea I had and the results far exceeded even what I had hoped for. You will NOT be disappointed with Amanda’s work"

About Amanda

This endeavor has been years in the making. Starting out with simple photos of my kids and gradually expanding. (Plus, some time was spent developing the courage to share my work with everyone, sometimes it can be scary to be judged.) Thankfully, with support of family and friends, I was able to step out and present my art to the world. I have a desire to capture moments that count and will be everlasting. Creating photos that put a smile on the faces of others, puts the passion for this art into perspective. Photos are good for the soul.

Besides photography, I am a full-time 5th grade teacher, which has been my dream passion since I was young. Now, 14 years later, I still love teaching and I am grateful I still have time to continue my vision in the photography world. Being a teacher is also an added benefit, as I'm use to working with kids. My ability to work with kiddos is ideal in making connections with the youngsters during sessions.

My husband, Tim, and boys, Waylon and Gentry, are my crew. We stay quite busy with the boys and spend a lot of time watching them play sports, going fishing and going for rides on our Ranger. Finding a balance between family, work, and photography is whirlwind at times, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

BACKGROUND

It all started many years ago, 2008 to be more precise. Becoming a mother kicked my love of photography into overdrive and set the wheels in motion. Documenting my sweet babes as they grew, helped me develop my craft and set me on a journey to share this gift with others. Being self taught and learning as I continue this journey, has been a joy in its challenges. I'm proud of my accomplishments and will continue to push forward toward my goals.

STYLE

I'm an "everything" family photographer. This means I'm all about capturing your family in every season of life. Sessions are natural light with the exception of studio sessions. To be specific with my style, this is a matter of perspective, but it basically boils down to classic, timeless images to treasure indefinitely.

GOAL

Pause time. Mark the moments. Capture the essence of your life right now. Its the goal all photographers have. You will be thankful that these times with your loves are forever framed. I have a true passion for being a part of something that brings joy and happiness to others for years to come.

EXPERIENCE

You should come away from a session feeling like you've had your memories captured with ease. About 99% of the time, the men, aren't so thrilled about pictures, but I can honestly say, they usually walk away with their attitudes changed. This is often the case for the reluctant tweens as well. Its nice to see the doubters at the end of the session with a pleasantly improved view of the experience. Its really better than they think it will be.
